Individuals must be students affiliated with a GPBA member laboratory and/or GPBA member degree program. Preference will be given to candidates who have graduated from or currently enrolled in a graduate-level (Masters or Ph.D.) program directly relevant to bioinformatics. However, candidates with or currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in a bioinformatics-relevant subject, as well as demonstration of previous academic and/or employment-based excellence in some aspect of biology or computational science, will also be considered. The individual must be eligible for employment in the U.S. Special consideration will be given to students with prior training and/or experience in both the biological and computational sciences.
